- NOTHING IS PERSONAL: Every picture on the website is a stock image. Google has publicly stated that stock photos will not help your website’s ranking.
- WHAT ABOUT YOU? Your website visitors and your future customers want to buy from you. They need to know what you stand for.
- SHOW OFF WHO YOU ARE: Tell them about your company and how you do business.
- USE LOTS OF PHOTOS OF YOUR BUSINESS: It’s so easy nowadays with just a cell phone in landscape mode. The cameras on these phones are more than adequate to provide the resolution your web designer needs.
- MOST IMPORTANTLY, TELL THEM ABOUT YOU: That’s right. Your photo. Your history. The history of your business. We know you don’t like to do this, and you feel it invades your privacy, but it is really necessary.
- WHY? Trust. Your prospects want to get some sort of feeling of trust before they contact you. If you don’t provide that sense of trust, a competitor surely will.
The Google folks call all this “E-E-A-T.” They reward websites that provide content that highlight: E-Experience. E-Expertise. A-Authority. T-Trustworthiness. Google has the data and resources to know what visitors to a website are looking for. Heed their guidelines and win.
